Getting here from Chandler and Gilbert

From downtown Chandler the office is about 12 miles; from the Gilbert Heritage District about 14. Outside of rush hour, count on 20 to 25 minutes from either; on a weekday at five, more. The office is at 605 East Broadway Road in Tempe, on Broadway Road just west of Rural Road, about a mile south of downtown Tempe and the university.

Routes from Chandler and Gilbert:

  • From west Chandler, Ocotillo and the Chandler Fashion Center area: Loop 101 north to the Broadway Road exit, then west on Broadway Road for about two miles.
  • From downtown Chandler and Sun Lakes: Arizona Avenue north to US-60, west to the Rural Road exit, then north about a mile and a half.
  • From Gilbert, Val Vista Lakes and Power Ranch: US-60 west to Rural Road, or Loop 202 west to Loop 101 north and the Broadway Road exit.
  • From Queen Creek and San Tan Valley: the drive is 35 minutes or more, and video is usually the better option, with the office there for the visits that need it.

Parking is free on site, including accessible spaces, with a step-free route from the parking area to the waiting room.

Video from Chandler or Gilbert, or in person in Tempe

From the southeast Valley the drive is real, so it is worth knowing exactly which visits need it. Most do not.

By video, from Chandler or Gilbert

  • Individual therapy, 60 minutes each week with the same therapist. Switch to the office, or back, whenever you like.
  • Couples therapy, provided you are both in Arizona while the session happens.
  • A 60-minute psychiatric evaluation with our board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, and most medication management follow-ups after it.
  • The free 15-minute consultation, always by video, before anything is booked.

At the office in Tempe

  • The Intensive Outpatient Program and the Partial Hospitalization Program. The IOP meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday, three hours a day, in person; its weekly one-on-one session can be by video.
  • Group therapy, six to eight people in the room, weekly for a set number of weeks.
  • Visits your clinician decides need to happen face to face. Some medication decisions and some parts of trauma therapy are made in person, and you are told which ones ahead of time.

From Chandler or Gilbert, video for the weekly hour and the office for the occasional in-person visit is the arrangement that saves the most time. If you would rather be in the room every week, that works too; Saturday hours, 9am to 2pm, are there for the weeks a weekday drive is impossible.

Who we see from Chandler and Gilbert

Adults 18 and over, from both cities and the towns around them. We do not see children or adolescents.

The concerns are the ones on our conditions pages: anxiety and panic, depression, trauma and PTSD, OCD, grief, and the postpartum year, when leaving the house is the obstacle and video exists precisely for that. We also see adults wondering whether ADHD explains a pattern that has been there since school, and adults who need a careful bipolar disorder evaluation rather than a quick label.

Everything is under one roof: the therapist, the board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who does the evaluations and the medication management, and the care team that handles the records, letters and coordination with your other providers. For someone driving in from Gilbert, one practice is a real convenience.

Insurance and cost from Chandler and Gilbert

We accept Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health and Curative, for individual therapy, couples therapy, psychiatric evaluations and medication management. The plan and the service decide coverage, not your address, so a Chandler or Gilbert address changes nothing.

If you are paying yourself, the full price list is on the insurance and pricing page, video and in person cost the same, and a sliding scale is available for financial hardship. With another plan, you pay our rate, you get a superbill after each session, and your plan may pay you back for part of it. The four steps.

The free 15-minute video consultation is where the cost question gets answered for your situation. You book it online at a time you choose, and it commits you to nothing.
